| Gervasio Marcosignori born in Castelfidardo (Ancona),he has devoted
himself since a child to the study of music and the classical
accordion, showing a prodigious musical sensibility. |
|
After having won numerous contests, he walked an artistic path studded
with bright successes and praises given following the various performances
on Radio, and Television and in the innumerable concerts held in every
Country from Europe to Russia, from the United States to South
America, Australia to Africa and China. |

Frank Alfano the well known composer that has completed the Turandot of
Puccini, following the performance of La fille aux cheveux de lin he
said with your accordion you have me almost forced to forget that this was
written for piano.
The English press, after a concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London,
defined Marcosignori as the poet of accordion. |
|
In 1959 he was given recognition when assigned with the World Oscar
of the Accordion awarded to great artists for bringing this instrument to
a more artistic level revealing musical possibility still ignored thanks
to the inimitable interpretations of original music and transcripts. A
repertoire that spans from the Classical up to the symphonic jazz, where
he finds a place for every kind of music. |

Besides the classical accordion, built according to a technical sketch of
his, he uses the electronic accordion for correct support
using various orchestral elaborations.
He holds seminars, masterclasses, President of the Jury in National and
International Contests and he writes for the editions Berben Editions. |
|
Among the last of his publications are three volumes on the technical
traditional Accordion and Free Bass. |
