Frank Alfano, as Luigi Ferrari Trecate and Lino Liviabella, were also the first
illustrious authors of original compositions for accordion. Teachers, students of Marcosignori
discovered the structure of an Accordion not comparable to any other.

It is in1947 the young soloist meets Alfano at the Conservatory Rossini of Pesaro. Here, in 1914
his paternal uncle graduated. From his uncle, Marcosignori took the name Gervasio. From
his Father he learned so much about the technical side of the Accordion, his father
having a wealth of experience in this area. A sensitive accordionist the same as
Gervasio, from him he learned the fundamental teachings: on two completely different
keyboards one completely different from the other, and the dynamic expression
of the Melody and of the accompaniment depending always on the movement of the
bellows. You have
to breathe with the accordion.

one has the touch of Gervasio Marcosignori.

Lo stess Preludio di Debussy, trascritto ed eseguito da Marcosignori, fece
invece dire al compositore che aveva conclusol'incompiuta Tarandot di |Puccini
Con la tua fisarmonica mi hai quasi costretto a dimenticare che questo brano e
stato scritto per pianoforte
Franco Alfano, come pure Luigi Ferrari Trecate e Lino Liviabella, furono i primi
autori illustri di composizioni originali per fisarmonica Illustri Maestri,
allievi di Marcosignori nella scoperta della struttura fonica di uno strumento
non comparabile ad alcun altro.
E il 1947 quando il giovane solista incontra Alfano al Conservatorio Rossini di
Pesaro. Qui, nel 1914 si era diplomato in strumentazione per banda, lo zio
paterno. Dallo zio, Marcosignori ha preso il nome: Gervasio. Dal padre esperto
tecnico della fisarmonica, sensibilissimo fisarmonicista egli stesso -
apprendera gli insegnamenti fondamentali: come si controllano due tastiere
completamente diverse l'una dall'altra, e come la dinamica espressiva della
melodia e dell'accompagnamento dipenda tutta dal movimento del mantice. Tu devi
respirare con la fisarmonica.
Molti sono, ovunque, gli interpreti eccellenti di questo strumento: ma nessuno,
per riconoscimento generale, ha la cavata, il touch di Marcosignori.
Ascoltate Marcosignori in concerto: la cavata sta nel suo modo di graduare
l'intensita del suono nota per nota, anche nei passaggi velocissimi.
Ma quel suo modo di suonare preciso e scioltissimo, la semplicita con cui
affronta le parti piu ardue, non sono soltanto il segno di un talento musicale
innato, di unanaturale attitudine a sentire la fisarmonica come un complemento
di se e il risultato di studio, ricerca, applicazione quotidiana.
A Castelfidardo, dove nato e dove il padre Giovanni gli fece abbracciare una
fisarmonichetta gia a 5 anni, Gervani rivelo prestissimo i sintomi del banbino
prodigio, giocoso e aggressivo come un piccolo Mozart.
A partire dai 15 anni, perola musica cambia. vince tutti i concorsi regionali e
nazionali, e ricevera l'Oscar della fisarmonica classica quando il suo valore di
solista si e ormai consolidato in ogni Paese: dall'Europa occidentale fino alla
Russia, dagli Stati Uniti al Sudamerica, all'australia, all'africa
Dai grandi clavicembalisti fino al jazz sinfonico: nella sua fisarmonica c'e
posto per ogni genere di musica, e Marcosignori la comunica per dimostrare le
infinite risorse d'uno strumento che egli ha portato nel corso di quasi
cinquant'anni ai piu alti livelli artistici. Percio suona soltanto musica
originale o sue trascrizioni.
Ascoltate la fisarmonica classica di Marcosignori: construita secondo un suo
disegno tecnico e timbrico, contenuta nelle misure strandard, dotata di bassi a
