Jean-Louis Noton was born on the
21st of July 1952 in France.
- He started to play the
accordion at the age of nine in Vienne (Isère) and studied music at the
Lyon Conservatory from 1966 to 1971.
- In 1969 he won the Pinder
O.R.T.F Trophy in Paris.
- He won the Coupe du
President de la République at Puy en Veley in 1971.
- From 1981 to 1990 he was a
music and computer teacher for the state education system in France.
In 1985 he produced music
computer programs for the Ministry of Education.
- In 1991 he became a MIDI
demonstrator and consultant for the Cavagnolo accordion company.
- In 1993 he helped create
Odysée, the accordion of the future with its 128 digital accordion and
- In 1994 he became the first
accordionist in the world to make a CD with the digital Odysée accordion
in his home studio.
- In 1996 he participated in
the creation of the MIDI HF Liberty 4 Cavagnolo.
